History of The Mayson

The interiors and communal spaces of The Mayson are modern, taking notes from each building’s history but keeping the design clean and simple. You can feel the history, with the exposed brick and industrial dashes of design. These revitalised buildings sit in the heart of the transforming landscape of Dublin city centre and the Docklands.

We are proud to be in Dublin Docklands, a major player in Dublin’s history and development.
Back in the days of Vikings and Normans, the Docklands became a bustling commercial hub. Of late, tech giants, innovators, creatives have transformed the docklands once again. It is the home of brilliant venues which cater to fans of music, art, exhibitions, theatre and galleries. For example, catch the hottest acts at 3Arena or enjoy a multitude of fantastic events at Bord Gais Energy Theatre. If adrenaline sports are your thing then you’re in luck, too. Why not try out some urban kayaking or wakeboarding?

Dublin’s streets are lined with artisan cafes, restaurants serving the best in local and international fare , authentic pubs and brilliant bars. With museums, music, comedy, literature, clubs, sports, incredible local retailers of fashion, art, records, books, interiors and lanes lined with boutiques, stalls and more – you are never short for something to do. Our coastal position means it couldn’t be easier to explore the rugged Irish landscape. Plunge into the sea, kayak down the River Liffey, kite surf on the beach or take in the panoramic views of the bay from our rooftop! Read on to discover what our city has in store for you.
