An Irish artist by way of Los Angeles, she spent her childhood in the Golden State watching sunsets & reading books in the back of her father’s ‘67 Chevy Impala. A home girl at heart she returned from whence she came and has settled back in Dublin. With her Mum Mariad a fashion designer and her dad Charlie an artist, Domino has felt creative from an early age and is the face behind our ‘Something Beautiful’ Neon Sign.
Now an artist, writer & DJ and her stunning work hangs on walls here at The Mayson, The Devlin and across the seas too.
“Something beautiful, has been a phrase that has run across my brain for a few years now” The idea that everyone deserves ‘something beautiful’ no matter how ugly or chaotic life can be. Sometimes you have to work extra hard to find the beauty in your own life, even when it could be right in front of you.
Domino has been on her own personal roller-coaster for the past few years, committing to caring full time for her father who has Alzheimer’s. Even though it has felt like one big tragedy, Domino has learnt that if you can’t find the beauty in something, there’s no point in doing it at all.
“So I encourage people to look for the beauty in the mundane, look for it in pain, even look for the beauty in tragedy. Sometimes it outweighs the bad and sometimes it can just make it a little bit easier”
Domino’s piece hangs proudly in our lobby at The Mayson.
